Test facilities at PIAB
PROVAK and PIAB offer to perform vacuum transport testing. Customers can have their powder or granule ingredients tested in our test centre. We set up and test with our various vacuum conveyors, controllers, vacuum ejectors, electric vacuum pumps, bag impactors, suction lances and rotary valves.
Proof-of-concept
The test centre is located in Helsingborg, just 60 minutes from Copenhagen. Here PROVAK can test the transport of materials such as powdered, granulated or tableted food ingredients and products, chemicals, pharmaceuticals and metal powders. In industries that handle sensitive materials that are exposed to health risks or susceptible to moisture and contamination, finding the right transport equipment is essential. Getting proof-of-concept from our engineers ensures your materials can be transported safely, hygienically and efficiently.

Lessons learnt
Many materials present unique challenges when it comes to ensuring efficient vacuum transport. Designing a system requires a thorough understanding of the material to be transported, the distance it must travel, any vertical lift, and the optimal transfer speed. Over the past 70 years, Piab has demonstrated our ability to adapt our technology to a wide range of materials and transport setups. However, due to the unique nature of each application, it may remain crucial to perform a proof of concept test to ensure optimal performance.
